On a Personal Note...

Approximately 39 years ago during the Christmas season, my life was forever impacted by the onset of what would be years of abuse by a nonblood relative.  I truly believe it has made me the person I am (which I truly believe isn't so bad :).  Though I've made incredible progress in healing the wounds left by the abuse, I must be honest and admit that this time of year still triggers me on some level.  That said, I have a choice in how I respond to those triggers. This year, I am choosing to focus less on the fear associated with those triggers and more on avenues to bring healing to myself and others through awareness.  I am also asking for your help.  I currently have 80 people who like my Donna Jacques Temm, Author & Speaker FaceBook page and by the end of the month of December, I'm hoping to reach 300+ "LIKES" for this particular page. (PLEASE REMEMBER TO SPECIFY THE "AUTHOR & SPEAKER" PAGE SINCE THE OTHER "PERSONAL" PAGE FOR MY BOOK MAY NOT BE IN EXISTENCE MUCH LONGER!)If you are comfortable in doing so, I'd be so appreciative if you'd pass this goal of mine along to others you may know who would be interested in following me on FaceBook and learning how to become more empowered in helping and keeping themselves and those they love safe around the area of abuse.Thank you for the support so many of you have sent my way.  I hope your holiday season is happy, healthy & filled with love and joy!
